Federal Skilled Worker Class

Skilled workers are selected as permanent residents based on their education, work experience, knowledge of English and /or French, and other criteria that have been shown to help them become economically established in Canada.

Using the point system, an applicant is assessed under the federal skilled worker class and ideal applicants will possess employment skills and experience compatible with occupations to prospective immigrants to Canada.

You will be assessed on six selection factors (education, language, employment experience, age, arrange employment and adaptability) and be allotted the points on such basis.

Please send us an email to info@spourfar.com with your details today for an assessment, and we will advise you if we think you qualify for this program or if another program seems to be more suitable for you.

Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)

The Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) allow Canadian provinces and territories to nominate individuals who wish to immigrate to Canada with an intention to settle in a particular province.

Each Canadian province (besides Quebec, that has a different selection system) and the two territories have their own Provincial Nominee Programs. Citizenship and Immigration Canada (IRCC) has agreements with the Provinces and territories governments that allow them to select immigrants who meet their requirements.

Provincial and territorial governments have been using these programs to attract qualified workers and entrepreneurs to their region. Each PNP is tailored to meet the province’s/territory’s specific labour market demands; selecting qualified individuals who may play an important role in the continued prosperity of the province/territory.

Canadian Experience Class (CEC)

Canadian Experience Class allows International Students and Temporary Foreign Workers in Canada to apply for permanent residence status.

Unlike the Federal Skilled Worker Class, the Canadian Experience Class does not use a points system. The program looks at the Canadian Work Experience gained by the applicant over the last three years. The applications are processed through the Express Entry Selection System.

Applicants under this category must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • have at least 12 months of full-time (or an equal amount in part-time) skilled work experience in Canada in the three years before you apply,
  • have gained your experience in Canada with the proper authorization,
  • meet the required language levels needed for your job for each language ability (speaking, reading, writing and listening),
  • plan to live outside the province of Quebec (individuals with work experience in Quebec and who plans to reside in Quebec may apply to the Quebec Experience Class).
